Day 4 - Royal College of Nursing Hustings

A couple of things on tonight - The Guernsey Partnership of Independents at Styx and a hustings organised by the Royal College of Nursing at the PEH.

Why are nurses paid substantially less than people working for the States in comparable jobs? Surely it's just residual sexism isn't it? Nursing is a graduate career with minimum wage pay.

Arguments about having to "find the money" are surely hollow - just because nurses have been historically underpaid, doesn't make it alright to persist.
